Essence Bible - BPE - John 1 complete

In the beginning it was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was also God.

He, the Word, was at the beginning with the Creator.

Everything that exists was done through Him, and without Him, nothing that was done would be.

Life lived in him and life enlightened men;

and the Light shone very brightly in the Darkness, and the Darkness did not overcome the Light.

There was a man that the Creator sent, named John.

He came to testify for the Light, so that everyone would believe through his testimony.

John was not the Light, but he came to testify for the Light.

The true Light is the Word, which came into the world and enlightens all human beings.

He who is the Word dwelt in the world, and even though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize him.

He came for what belonged to him, but what belonged to him did not recognize him.

But to all human beings who received it, he gave them the right to be children of the Creator, to all who believed in His name;

that were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of men, but of the will of the Creator.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We saw his light shining, shining as the Creator's only Son, overflowing with Grace and Truth.

John gave testimony about Yeshua and shouted saying, "Look, it was about Him that I said: He who comes after me, has the perfect fullness, because in fact he existed long before me."

John gave testimony about Yeshua and shouted saying, "Look, it was about Him that I said: He who comes after me, has the perfect fullness, because in fact he existed long before me."

And from this Fullness we have all received, Grace over Grace.

Because the Law was revealed through Moses; but True Grace came through Christus.

No one has ever seen the Creator; the Exclusive Son, who is in the greatest intimacy of the Father, is the one who reveals him!

When the priests and theologians from Jerusalem went to John to question him, and asked, "Who are you?" João testified.

He stated bluntly and without a hint: "I am not Christus".

They insisted on asking, "Who are you then? Are you Elijah?" They said, "Are you the Prophet?" John once again stated: "No".

Then they insisted again: "Who are you? Give us some answer so that we have something to say to whoever sent us; How do you identify yourself?"

Said John: "I am the voice of him who cries in the desert: 'Make a straight road for the Lord to pass', as Isaiah the prophet said".

Those who had been sent to investigate John were from the party of the Pharisees.

They asked again: "Then why do you baptize, if it is not Christus, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?"

In reply João said: "I baptize with water; but there is already someone among you that you do not know.

He is the one who comes after me, and I am not worthy to even tie His sandals ".

All this interrogation took place in Betânia, on the other side of the Jordan, where John was baptizing.

The other day, John saw Yeshua walking towards him and said: "Here is the Creator's Sacrifice, which takes away the error of humanity!

It was about Him that I said: 'After me comes a man who is excellent, because it is a long time before me'.

I didn't know him yet, but in order for him to be revealed to Israel, I started to baptize with water ".

And John gave testimony saying: "I saw the Spirit descending on Him as if it were a dove and resting on Him.

I still didn't know Him; The one who sent me to baptize with water told me: 'The one on whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining, he is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit'.

And I truly saw and I guarantee that this is the Son of the Creator ".

The other day, João was with 2 of his students

and seeing that Yeshua was passing he said, "Here is the Creator's Sacrifice!"

The 2 students heard what John said and started to follow Yeshua.

Yeshua seeing that the 2 followed him said: "What are you looking for? ' They replied, "Rabbi (meaning teacher), where is he staying?"

Yeshua said, "Come and see". They went and saw where He lived; and they stayed with Him that day, that being around 4 o'clock in the afternoon.

Of those who heard John speak, one of them was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. And they followed Yeshua.

First he went to his brother Simon and said, "We found Messiah (that is, Christus).

And he took him to Yeshua. When Yeshua looked at Simon, he said: "Your name is Simon, and you are the son of John; you will be called Cephas (means stone)".

The other day, Yeshua decided to go to Galilee. He met a man named Felipe on the way and said: "Follow me".

This Felipe, was from the same city as André and Pedro, Bethsaida.

Philip saw Nathanael and said to him: "We found the one about whom Moses wrote in the Law, and about him also the prophets wrote: He is the son of Joseph, Yeshua, the Nazarene.

Nathanael joked: "Can something good come from Nazaré?" Philip just said, "Come and see"

Yeshua saw that Nathanael was approaching and said of him: "This is a true Israelite, who does not live with falsehood".

Nathanael said: "Do you know me from where?" Yeshua replied: "Before Felipe called you, I saw you under the fig tree".

Nathaniel shouted, "Teacher, you are the Son of the Creator! The King of Israel".

Yeshua asked: "Why did I say I saw you under the fig tree did you believe me?

You will see things much bigger than this ".

Yeshua said: "In all truth, I guarantee: You will see the open skies and the Creator's messengers ascending and descending on the Son of Humanity".
